Please pray for me

Hello faithful readers. Thank you for your patience and support as I've been on a type of unintentional writing sabbatical. I made a commitment to the Lord years ago that I would only write when he inspires me to put something on the page. And, although he never fails to inspire, I often fail to listen (hence, the lack of recent posts).

As I've alluded to in previous posts, I've been suffering with a long-term illness that has, unfortunately, created a "new normal" in my day to day life. And while I am sure the Lord intends to teach me new realities and use me in new ways during this forced sabbatical, I fear I have yet to learn the intended lessons that forced rest offers.

Can I ask you to please pray for me, friend and reader? Pray...

• That I will comply with the Holy Spirit's authority in my life
• That I will do what's necessary to allow my body to completely heal
• That I will confess sin and stay in "right relationship" with my savior
• That I will allow my mind to be transformed as I renew it daily in God's Word (Romans 12:2)
• That I won't wrestle with the Lord as he gently disciplines my stubbornness
• That I would forsake anything that draws me away from the heart of God
• That I would obsessively praise the Lord for his grace and mercy toward me and my family

Thank you in advance for your prayers. And by the way, this could be a good prayer list for any one of us, don't you think?
